We have zero tolerance for slavery and human trafficking and are fully aware of our responsibilities towards our service users, employees and local communities. We expect all companies that we do business with to share the same ethical values. Our policies support us in conducting business in an ethical manner. We have Freedom to Speak Up Guardians who supports staff to raise concerns.
The aim of this statement is to demonstrate that we follow best practice and take all reasonable steps to prevent slavery and human trafficking. We expect our staff and suppliers to comply with the legislation and report any concerns where they may have them.
To help and support NHS providers, in 2025 NHS England published a Modern Slavery Statement on behalf of all NHS organisations to reduce administrative burden, prevent duplication and increase consistency. NHS organisations can now simply refer to this statement, which covers the actions taken by NHS England to support the wider NHS to address the risk of modern slavery in the health service and point to actions best delivered nationally or locally.
