BFT was named winner in the categories 'Leadership and Governance for Experience Excellence' and 'Digital and Technology Innovation for Experience' for its work in partnership with Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire (SWAG) Cancer Alliance to develop a real-time cancer experience survey, which has transformed how cancer patient experience is captured and acted upon across Southmead Hospital. The project was also a runner up in the category 'Support Operations Excellence in Improving Experience'.
Our programme to improve cancer care for people with disabilities and long-term health conditions by expanding the reach and understanding of reasonable adjustments, delivered in partnership with SWAG Cancer Alliance and Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB), won 'Equity in Experience' and was a finalist in the categories 'Excellence in Personalised Care', 'From Insight to Impact' and 'Developing the Capability for Person Centered Care'.
The Patient Conversations and Walk & Talk project was recognised as a finalist in the categories 'Long Term Improvement in Experience of Care' and 'From Insight to Impact' for its work transforming how patient experience feedback is captured and acted upon by enabling patients to discuss what matters most to them whilst they are still receiving care.
Judges commended the winning projects for showing "a thoughtful and inclusive approach," "strong emphasis on involvement," and "a clear commitment to improving patient experience."
