Our email addresses are changing

In October 2026, our email addresses are changing and will all end with @nhs.net.

  • Email addresses ending with @nbt.nhs.uk are changing on Monday, 12 October.
  • Emails addresses ending with @uhbw.nhs.uk are changing on Monday, 19 October.

What does this mean for me?

  • Teams using @nbt.nhs.uk / @uhbw.nhs.uk addresses will change to @nhs.net addresses.
  • If a team already had an @nhs.net address, nothing has changed.
  • We will update this website with the new addresses over the coming months.

Do I need to do anything?

  • Yes. Our staff will start to share their new email addresses with you. When they do, please update your records.
  • Please do not simply switch out the @nbt.nhs.uk / @uhbw.nhs.uk part of the email address for @nhs.net. This will not work as, in most cases, the entire email has changed. Instead, please wait to be told the new address.

Will the old email addresses still work?

  • For six months, any emails you send to our old addresses will automatically be sent on to our new addresses.

Why the change?

  • To make sure we keep meeting the highest NHS data protection standards.
  • To strengthen collaboration within our trust and with our partner organisations.
